I think the cover is still heavy enough for them to keep out of the rain and it is still to warm for them to bother staying in the ground.

the black and tan that has had 2 seasons is that the dog you served the black and tan bitch with??

yeah it is and the man that owns the bitch has dug over him a good few times with me and he was happy with what he seen from him,and he was with us once when that dog was dug 4 times in the same day

i wouldn't call him a hard dog but he does a bit of mixing up ,he never really needs more than a few days to recover after a days digging and thats the way I like a terrier to work, for me i keep them to dig with not for nursing wounds and getting a few digs here and there with them

ye tats the way u want them only to take a bang when needed fair play

I know mate i have got rid of terriers that were like crocodiles because they were only good for a handful of digs a season but they are nice to watch working ,that's is main reason he has had so many digs my glen x bitch was constantly lying up recovering and me mates are into hard dogs but we dug over him while the rest of our dogs where lying up out maybe 3 or 4 times a week
