hi, just got myself a new pup from near london, from a lad off here called richie10, i really like the pup and by the looks of the parents he will turn out a corker, hes dads grandad was jj, his dad was jj x saluki x 3/4 saluki x saluki x saluki, his mother was a saluki x grey from ghost lines, nice bitch not feathered but the sire is fully feathered, so here he is richie settled in nicely, what do you lads think?

hes silver grizzle, any name suggestions please?

thanks!

what would the pace be like on that dog then being more suluki in it i would think it would be a ploder ime not knoking the dog far from it ive seen fast sulukis with tremendas early pace then ive sin the ploders what still do the job

Both parents are the type to put constant pressure on quarry, they don't sit behind things. I'll pop up and show you.

well its sire was 27" and dam 24-25", and the guy said the sire and the dam are both up and at them type of dogs, and he uses the sire for lamping rabbits aswell, my other saluki whos 2 now is 7/8 saluki and he is rapid, but i suppose its how you bring the dog on, ill bring this pup on with rabbits in smaller fields to make him use his speed, and then gradually wein him onto bigger ones so that he still uses speed, then get him on hares at about 14 month old on a medium sized field and do the same process, hes pretty quick for his age and is quite big, im hoping he makes 25/26 tts, ill keep you all updated on how he comes along

Yeah, he is good at retrieving shot hares saves you having to pick them up. Never tryed him on rats.
