Same line from twent y five years ago

well there you go a pic from 1996 and the same line you have now?? them 2 dogs still surely cant be alive? any recent pics liam thanks.

If you add twenty five to 1996 it means we must be living in 2021 i dont have any recent pics from that era yet.But yes i have plenty of pics from this era and will gladly show you just as soon as you show me your dogs from down the years to the present.

i will be honest laim and not waffle like ur self i have had plenty of dogs down the years but a lot of them just didnt make what i was looking for and i have a black dog here that i wouldnt call a wonder dog but he does a shift and a few pups as well but mate the numbers dont lie and u keep at the digging all year round mate and also putting pics up of ur dogs chinned means nothing to me mate seen plenty like that that were wankers all the best porkie teller

See that makes as much sense as saying a hard dog is too game for his own good (which Liam stated by the way) but a game dog is a different kettle of fish he'll fight to the death. Sure if the game dogs even gamer than the hard dog would the same not apply to it also, of not even more ??? That's the point I was trying to make. i think an opinion should be formed from personal experience, and thats why i dont claim to have one on the trials, but then i didnt give an opinion on trial dogs , i just quoted for you what liam had said about how the dogs were tested and also i told you that its not unheard of for a game dog to push on with his front legs gone [not my opinion] this has been well documented, you said you thought that was bollix . as for the point your making on what liam said about a hard dog being too game, surley you realise that when he says hard dog he means a hard digging dog being too game for his own good and when he says game dog he means a strong dog or match dog which correct me if im wrong, can never be called too game, they are referred to [and honered ] as dead game.

I work my terriers and have been in the game long enough to know what Liam was saying so you don't need to spell anything out for me. I've seen plenty of hard terriers that mix alot over the years and seen first hand and kept, may I add strong/big dogs. So don't try and be the big boy that knows nothing but likes to type on a keyboard. By the way I said Liams post was either badly worded or bollocks and I did state that I had read it over a few times. So don't go putting posts up saying I said a game dog when the dogs front legs have gave in and still determind to "try and kill his foe, fight to the death" is bollocks. You just choose to use that bit of Liams post to try and be a smart fella. Why ? I'll tell you why, because your out of your depth and have already stated so, that's why your going to drastic measures to play on words. Go get a life. Or read some more books or documentation as you call it. Ha ha

Ive dug to loads off hard terriers over the years though as Liam said maybe they were too hard for there own good. I've also dug to alot of game terriers. They were far too game for there own good, more so than a hard dog. As I said at the beginning """same shit different day"""...!!!!!

If you read the thread i started correctly, I stated I was too young to know about certain lines back in the day, but I knew enough to prove men twice maybe 3 times the age of me now wrong!!!!! Men that were into it and thought they knew it all. Plus north Armagh region kept producing the highest quality off just for u ( draw/strong/heavy/big) dogs all down the years to date. So use what words you want too. I know by looking and watching a dog work..... not reading a thread on my iPhone like you do on here. How your imagination must wonder. Ha ha ha ha f::king ha ha

Laim, 6 minutes is no test for any dog imo.

Believe me Dev it was not as simple as it sounds if it was every dog would qualify.he was doing full battle head on for that time if he stopped at all he was lifted and he also took a lot of punishment.Some dogs like to catch and pull other dogs(the kind i liked)just jumped into the pot and no pulling just fight(a lot of Cuilleog dogs done that and dogs from Laois)they just wanted to fight fight fight so they got a lot of war wounds.Somebody said on here a while ago trial dogs did not have to be fit they most certainly did if he was not fit he would lay back a bit when getting tired and would be lifted.I know plenty of hard dogs stay to ground for hours(had plenty of them)but if he was mixing like that to ground for hours he would be dead(nose gone bottom jaw gone to the bone or else would have to be put down.Ahard dog certainly mixes under ground but not to the same extent as a game dog he will pull back a bit if he is getting ate and wait his chance again a trial dog did not get that luxury.As Jimmy Shop said plenty of people gave there dogs a lot more than six minutes in there own shore.We used to try the dogs that liked to pull in a shore with a very tight bend so when his arse hit the bend it was not easy get around with his mouth full a good few failed.Liam To the people laughing and with the wise cracks these men a lot of them dead and gone were good honest working class people who knew there dogs inside out and bowed to nobody ye are not fit to hold there coat at a dig.

No i dont be in the earth with the dog i am way to big the closest i ever came to that was i worked as a miner many years ago.Now to your question(which is pretty well known by any dog man worth his salt)A hard dog is a terrier which goes to ground any rushes in and mixes although he is getting punishment he still mixes to much for his own good in the long term Now a game dog he is a different breed alltogether like chalk and cheese.A game dog (the good ones)will face any foe and fight him to the death regardless of the pain or the tenacity of his foe if he lost his front legs he will still try to get to his apponent and kill him or die in the process.I hope you are happy with my explanation and i hope in some small way this will help you in your quest to be a terrier man. PS do you have a terrier yourself? If not i would strongly advise you dont go for the game dog they are not for the novice. Yours in sport Liam.
