whats every bodys favourate ferret colour

Recommended Posts

lol why cant a guy pick a colour he likes ? I love all you guys who go , it dont matter, . but I bet you pick a kit you like the look of over one you dont. for rabbiting colour dose not matter but having a colour you like is always nice. So is picking up a ferret and playing with it. and giving it a name you like even if you dont tell the lads, who go home and do the same lol I have two silver, two poles and a very dark one. I would love a sandy and a bino at some point . As I have not had every colour yet its hard to pick a fave, but I do like the look of the sandys. :)

One thing.

Yes i pick a kit that i like the 'look' of, i.e, how it is built, how it moves, it's confidence, how it feeds, how it interacts with it's litter mates etc. Not it's markings.

And when breeding a litter it's the same, i watch how they act, not how they look, and if possible (like this year) i run them all on, and keep the best workers and give the rest away.

And yes, once mine are 'in', they have names, and get played with and are cherished as pets as well as workers.

I was teaching children to ferret for a BASC young shots day, last week......... One of the young girls turned up with a blue rinsed, and a pink rinsed ferret.........   True! Matty

But I don't care what colour they are I've 2 pole cats and 3 albinos but they could be any colour I would'nt mind, as long as they're not biting the shit out of me or the kids ( never had or seen one of these "beautiful" eu polecats but they sound a bit mental to me) and they bolt rabbits out of holes thats good enough for me.

Thats the best way and the way i do mine, started off with 12 this season and its now down to just 4 good workers and they are all diff colours, but atleast when i go out working them they will get the job done instead of commenitng on how pretty they look and there colour scheme matching the hedge row!
