where did all the wheaten xs come from?

was talking to a middle aged irish chap whos keeps lurchers.

one question he asked me was (where did all the wheaten crosses come from over this side of the water)

he went on to explain that it was very difficult to find a genuine working wheaten

over in irland to cross with a greyhound. so got me thinking are lurcher folk calling any rough rusty fawn coated lurhers wheaten crosses?

I know a couple lads with working wheatens, also know a couple of them take them to trials, these lads are like the mafia lol you have to be introduced to even get to hear about such dogs. If use are doubting they are out there then as far as the genuine lads who have them are concerned that's the way it should be, an the way it should stay in years to come.

my pal has a working wheaton which is obviously only used as a drawing dog over his size he is about 21tts and is bread from proper whetons not your small shity looking show type that u see these days.belive me there are still proper wheatons out there.

My mate that owns her tried 5 different wheaten dogs before deciding what to cover her with ,they all worked but not to his standards
