harrycatcat 31 Posted September 29, 2011 Report Share Posted September 29, 2011 This was my first time out this season and it was arranged some time back as I expected some good wildfowling weather what did I get? no wind, clear as a bell once the mist had cleared anyway it was a lovely sunrise. I heard loads of Mallard unless it was someone with a call pulling my chain. Dont get me wrong I love going on the marsh anytime. This morning I watched a kingfisher dodging about on the foreshore and a woodpigeon drinking sea water !!! I dont know if you will be able to make it out on the photos I didnt get a shot with the gun but took loads of pics and got a suntan. The sounds, the smells, the sights and the atmosphere on the marsh is great and I hope to be back next week. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

harrycatcat 31 Posted September 30, 2011 Author Report Share Posted September 30, 2011 Yes mate you will be sweltered, 12.5 degrees when I was travelling there at 03.25, so tomorrow you have a 8.00 metre at 09.11 give it another half an hour because yesterday there was a discrepancy between the tables and when it was actually high tide it seamed to be at least half an hour late. The cows chased us off any way they were very interested in chasing the dog. And the tide did not peak until nearly 10.00 !!!. I went out Saturday on the other side of the river from where you went - 4 shots for 2 widgeon . There were numerous shots from over the river, you must have picked the wrong day :cray: . Still plenty of time left, guess that's the fun of wildfowling. Can;t get the photo's to load ??? Have you sorted the photos? A shop near us sell 3 inch steel for £6.20p for 25, is 1/2 an inch so crucial? Not the Pic I wanted to show that is still stuck on the video cam. This Pic is from Friday evening, cloud disappeared just as the Ducks started to move. harrycatcat 31 Posted October 8, 2011 Author Report Share Posted October 8, 2011 HCC - how the hell do you get photo's to load on this site Well, what I do is download my photos to my computer from the camera then I open the photo I want to upload, then click on "image", third button along at the top, then press resize/resample and change the size to 25%. Then you have to save the photo to the same folder or even your desktop as whatever "a" and then the site will alow you to upload it. None of the sites will let you download massive sized photos.
