hi lads

well just thought id do a little write up on our adventure to a fertilizer plant last night it started of with the normal induction to site followed by a general walk through the normal where to go where not to go where the pigeon problem was and so on it was soon apparent how bad the problem was "stoz" one of the job lads had not long been in on a cleaning job and the d5 is on its way :boogy: anyhow back to the job in hand 1st on the list zero the scopes andy said last time he used it they looked out so as the furthest were would be shooting was about 20 yards that was the zero range so with a good solid back stop

we lased out the 20yards and he was right 2 inches high and to the right but after a few clicks on the turrets we were sorted and away we went

now the gun we used was an old rapid 7 and when i say old this thing is a pool gun so everyone's used it but its not been looked after the buddy bottle leaked so we had to borrow one both mags were jamming (no i don't mean hands in the air swinging side to side at the tone on bob marley) all bluing was coming off but we had to make the best of a bad thing and we did just that all in all we were on site for 2 hours and bagged this lot

DSCN1360.jpg

there was another 25 dropped behind voids and stock however it was unsafe to recover these ones all in all not a bad night got back in the house for 00:45 sadly there was not scope cam footage the site does not not allow video on site

Great stuff Gary.

For once I'm really impressed about how well this Rapid has performed despite the rough handling and abuses the gun has taken from some uncaring shooters.

Even pcp's have feelings too.

Why don't you put a bid in for her off your gaffer? She clearly performed superbly in your skilful care!

I reckon you'd get some fantastic sport and memorable shooting, out of this rifle still to come!

All the best pal.

Simon.

I agree with Simon,

Get a bid in for it Gary, The Rapid is the HW 77 of the PCP World Solid workman Design that has stayed Basically the same for 20 years Extremely Accurate and can take the field work Abuse and Punishment

that Hunters give it and can be repaired easy enough and Tuned to Perfection if thats what your into, Mine is a Box standard Factory Spec MK 2, The only Difference to that MK 1 is there's a Regulator and Different

stock, the new MK 4 Trigger Mechanism which is a Beaut compared to the other MK'S, Which was the only let-down on the earlier Rapid's, also Quickfill and My Barrel is threaded to take the Nutshot Mod.

This Rifle is Deffo a keeper compared with some PCP's it's got Character and isn't Souless like alot of PCP's.

regards Daz. :ninja:
