blan89 159
Show em your feckin video on enslavement............they will never come back!!! Seriously pal. These animals do more good than harm IN YOUR GARDEN. I accept they steal eggs in the laying season, but the good they do, removing slugs and other small insects in the garden is superb. If you can put up with them, and your livelyhood, doesn't hang in the balance with their existence, leave them be. the reason i want them gone is because the dogs bark when they're in the garden,it's all flagged anyway so f**k knows why they want to come here. Chicken wire the garden then so they cannot get in. The chances are your garden just happens to be on their nightly jaunt.

However, I didnt know that they could climb over stuff like that! I would have thought their shape would have made it impossible. You learn something new every day. lurchergrrl 1,441
A rare, rare animal around these parts.....wish i could see more of them! Just don't see them anymore....Think yourself lucky matey....Another couple of weeks and they will be getting ready for the big sleep. Really? Got loads of them around here. Himself actually threw one at me once - he found it outside the shop round the corner, rescued it from being hit by a car, brought it here, opened the front door and tossed it at me like a ball. Imagine my surprise at having a hedgehog lobbed at me. I put it out back under the hedge, and it promptly turned itself round, walked back up the side and got squished right in front of my house. Fate, I guess I have two little hides set up in the back garden; hoping to attract a couple into stopping over winter this year. They're groovy little critters

Simoman 110
I think they must have regular runs which seems to be engrained in there brain, as a few years ago they seemed to run the same path each year prior to hibernation, unfortunately that run seemed to be where i built my kennels and many perished as they squeezed under the runs I really like hedgehogs and would bever intentionally hurt them, they are rare where i live now and i honestly cant remember the last time i saw one, well over a year ago..............
