jasper65 6
Nice looking dog mate, what was it like to train? after speaking to grovesy i think ill be going for a springer rather than a pointer now Got to say Mine's not a bad looker for a Brittany, I've seen some seriouse Ugly one's but mine's like Marlyn Munroe compared to them Can't speak for others but mine points for England, she's got a cracking pointing instinct and will point game all day long but I'm fooked if I would have another one . I've had a few dogs in my time but never come across one quite to Hyper as this thing, don't get me wrong it will work all day if you ask it but how often would I fly a hawk all day? I seen a couple of spaniels work with birds and they take some beating, but they can also be pretty full on in the earley days. cockers are also nice little workers... You are going to probably laugh now but when I flew my first couple of Goshawks I used my old Black Lab, he was steady and slower than a ESS but pushed things up for me perfectly. all this bollox I have read in the past about them not going into thick cover or bramble wasn't the case with my old Dog..... Ron Digby has one which is a dark dog! he's a cracking worker with his falcons but not the best looker, I also saw another on a field meet at Elvedon and have to say it was a funny looking thing with tufted up ears . I would love a ESS if someone brought it on a bit for me, I don;t think these days I could take on a pup ... Jasp Quote Link to post
