inan 841
i was there great to meet some faces of here only downside was nothing to do with the dogside but personally thought the stall side was more like a market there wasnt half a dozen stalls with anything too do with the countryside or hunting very disapointing side of it . Yes, it was noticeable that many of the stalls had no connection with the countryside ,or country sports at all. Still a well attended Lurcher show ,up to its usual high standard of competitors. Nice to see old friends such as yourself , Mac etc.

skycat 6,173
I agree with you: it was much better the old way, but there had been problems when adding up so many individual scores: too much room for error and mistakes (later corrected) had been made on more than one occasion. I don't think there is any way which is completely infallible. Thank God I no longer have to organise the event: it is a night mare and I thought that the new organiser did a good job considering it was her first time. At the end of the day there are only two happy people in such an event, one obviously slightly happier than the other LOL

boyo 1,398
i have judged the champion of champion a few times at this show and the old way was defo the best and most fair you are never going to get 4 judges to agree completely but with the old way you did not have to and none of the judges knew who had won or been placed untill it was added up afterwards. more difficult way of judging for the actual judges but the most fair and honest way for the competitors. didnt see the show because helping with racing but big well done to all winners and to lurcherlink for a great cause . I think all judges on the day did a really good job and chose cracking dogs. Some usual complaints and sore losers, but hey ho!

I think all judges on the day did a really good job and chose cracking dogs. Some usual complaints and sore losers, but hey ho! The racing didn't overrun - we filled the cards for the simo quickly and got started nice and early. For some reason it was arranged for the judging of the championship to run simultaneously with the racing - a time issue I guess.
