This year, the show celebrates its 25th anniversary. There are trophies for all class winners, and a great raffle. Events start with simulated coursing with entries taken from 8am. This is followed by straight racing. There will be speed jumping and field agility competitions run by Jim Greenwood.

The lurcher show starts at 12.30 and has 21 classes. For information on the show and all events please phone: Stat on 07534 049853

There is also the Supreme British Lurcher Championship which is organised by Pat Quant. For information on this competition please phone Pat on 01823 252203.

Yours truly will also be there doing a book signing :icon_redface: but please don't contact me about the show events as I have nowt to do with the organisation of events.

The Lurcher Show is part of the Autumn Show which is run by the Showground itself, and features loads of stands, rare breeds exhibitions, dog agility, and loads more http://www.eastofeng...Show/index.html

I've always liked this show: it is neither a game fair nor an agricultural show, but somewhere between the two with a good atmosphere.

Am I right in thinking there is a 64 dog simulated coursing comp kicking off on Saturday morning.

Yes, its held for Lurcherlink members only, as far as I know: phone the number and find out for sure. I'm pretty sure its only prebooked entries as well: you need to phone to get details.
