blane5626 8 Posted September 27, 2011 Report Share Posted September 27, 2011 hello i am lookin for any tips on were to go on the avon or the clyde for grayling and what flys to use any tips or advise would be a really big help because i and really lookin forward to a good few days fly fishing on my return from afghanistan next month, or if anyone would be up for a wee day out give me a shout and am sure wee could get a few wee days out on my return many thanks gary Quote Link to post

big country 8 Posted October 1, 2011 Report Share Posted October 1, 2011 As other people have said there are grayling all over the clyde the best places i have found are from rosebank to crossford. The river Avon used to be alright years ago.If you are using flies i would use a red tag but you can also trot maggots down.You cannot shuffle anymore as it would upset the river bed.Hope that helps Quote Link to post
