Cold Ethyl 63
Why not give it to a rescue to rehome to a pet home cos clearly you dont get along lol.If shes not bothering its cos shes lost interest do you have another dog to go along with her keep her on lead and let her watch for a few nights she will soon feel the urge to pick them up again.Sounds like the dog has no respect for you anymore and im not surprised if im honest not having a go but you have hit her and allowed her by your own admission to wander fields on her own no wonder she doesnt f*****g listen.Maybe shes taking her time to mature mentally or whatever but i dont think you two are suited lol.It happens i rescued a jack russel only 1 year old and she drove me round the f*****g bend yet i gave her to a guy for pest control and she was a differant dog in a month. Some dogs and people are not compatible Quote Link to post
SLiP tHe DoG ! 129
Lads I could make a whole film of how stupid my dog is. Every outing is a new joke. A few days ago I was walking along with her, she turned to look at someone over the road, looked back and walked face first into a lamp post. I mean what chance have you got.  Quote Link to post

SLiP tHe DoG ! 129
Best thread of the year so far this! better than the fcuktheban one?? that one was well exciting! Aye, the man is a comedy genius, and very honest, and apart from the couple of folk trying to be all serious and moan about 'you get what you put in, blah blah', the replys have all been friendly and funny. Makes a really nice change from all the "my dog could pull a crack addicted grizzly bear on roids single handed, so ergo i have a huge schlong" threads. Some dogs, like some people are just fecking mental! so true mate Quote Link to post
shushyjukal 41
She's from loves2hunt off here. I went and saw the parents and she's the spit of the mother. Plenty of other pups turned out ok and I still see the brother to her and he's totally the opposite to her. She's just a one off the litter. More stories? How about the time I took her out and she went off on a mission chasing nothing like a tit and lost her for two hours. I walked miles and got soaked. Was walking up the road and a chap recognized me and said "oh hi I've got your dog at home". I said oh nice one is she ok? "yes we have given her a bath and she's asleep on our bed" Pisstaker or what! 1 Quote Link to post
lurchergrrl 1,441
Try slipping her on some skunks, might sort her out Quote Link to post
tsteve9999 456
Why dont you want to say where you got the dog?............bought from known stuff or from an advert?, what age did you start the dog?, do you take the dog out regular on your own or are you always in company? Did you know the parents? You have give us all chapter and verse on everything else, why not the dogs history? Dam is a bull/grey/whippet, sire beddy/grey/whippet. I've got the brother to this dog and have to say he's the total opposite to her, calm, steady, and pretty obedient. i've become good mates with Shushy over the last couple of years and know he really has made an effort with the dog, but this is the first lurcher for both of us and personally I think this has been the problem. I've made loads of beginner mistakes with my dog but he's been the sort that can take it in his stride and recover, whereas his dog is much more hyper than mine and in my opinion would have suited an experienced owner more. Keep at her mate, at the very least she's giving you a few laughs along the way. Quote Link to post

Why not offload it onto a rescue centre that is already full to bursting with problem dogs, or give it a nice home with a nice family so it can ruin their lives. f*****g women I swear to god! How about walk it out the back, plug it with the .22 and dont miss. FTB 1 Quote Link to post

The dogs probably not the problem and i said rescue not rescue centre the smaller rescues spend far more time trying to get a dog sorted behaviourally than the bigger ones.By some of the things hes came away with im not surprised it doesnt f*****g listen to him Quote Link to post
123456 146
I'm afraid I agree with ftb on this one ethyl, you seem to be on here purely as some sort of rescue centre superhero. You never contribute anything in regards to hunting but just act as a skycat (no offence to skycat) wanna be. The post you write are drivel and your attitude doesn't seem very work orrientated in regards to dogs more pet like. Quote Link to post

There's no need to get so upset about it. As for ruining my life that was only meant to be a light hearted look at the past few years and the funny side of how shit she can be. Some people need to calm down and step out of the front door for a change. Thanks for all the lighter sided people who can see it for what it is! Ps thanks Steve for showing people that I'm not a complete dog beating arsehole! Edited September 27, 2011 by shushyjukal Quote Link to post
