Alessio 1
I've really enjoyed the time I've spent on this site...mostly reading but there's one thing that's always made me wonder. I've always seen people on this forum complain about the ban and ignore the ban but I've never really seen anyone trying to get everyone together to get the ban removed. Like I said don't want to speak out of place but over here in the past when they've banned something the hunting community has come together and did their best to get the ban removed such as the NJ bear hunt which we just got back. Simoman 110
Hundreds of thousands of us marched through the capital several times, we wrote to our local mp's, we donated to organisations to help fight the ban, its here, its in place and all we can do is work within and around it............... Ideation 8,216
Nice idea, but the numbers just do not add up. It's mainly because you can still kill the animals, but just not in certain ways. I.E - I can quite legally go out with a shotty and the wrong sized load, body shot a fox and think, f**k it, can't be arsed to go and find it, just let it die slowly and that's legal. But, if i take a dog and purposefully kill a fox with it fairly quickly after giving it a decent chance of escape. Then they can take said dog, kill it, take my car and fine me. All in the name of stopping 'animal cruelty' Mad country we live in mate.
Simoman 110
The money spent, and parlimentary hours too was phenominal, the ban will NEVER be repealed.............
trappa 518
Alessio. Animal rights rubbish here is on the same par as your abortion rights over there in the USA. Just as i doubt all your states will ever have the rights we do in regard to ease of having an abortion and being able to do it openly, here i doubt we will ever be able to hunt again with total freedom. IF, as ive seen over there, we were to drive down a road with a shot red deer tied to our bonnet or roof of our car there would be literally hell on!! Its silly as our public regard the life of a fox more important as the life of an unborn child. Your right, the world is a strange place.

scothunter 12,609
to a point i agree with that jai.the labour luvvies and there leftist views.however dont under estimate the folllowing and power of the anti brigade.lurcher work is hardly a class thing or terriers.was certainly not solely fox hunting those c**ts went after.they would ban fishing if they got the the chance.but i do get where you are comming from mate. Mooch. 177
The ironic thing is I reckon more foxes are now killed each year BECAUSE of the ban than ever were before it. Now hunting with hounds is banned landowners (and shoots especially) don't need to keep any foxes on their land and shooting was always a better method for killing large numbers anyway so now they just shoot as many as they see. Also you now get the divs who just love doing something because it's illegal and may never have bothered with lurchers before the ban came in. Also, we're British, if the ban hadn't been brought in what would we whinge about?
watchman 256
The money spent, and parlimentary hours too was phenominal, the ban will NEVER be repealed............. personaly i gave up on the idea that it might long time ago Edited September 26, 2011 by watchman

morton 5,368
The hunting community in this country is fragmented and easily divided,i believe the ban will be watered down for the registered hunt packs and the terriermen that work with them, because they wield the political clout, once their hunting rights are re-instated they will do nothing to support the lurcher and terrier brigade. The police will then have more resources to implement the ban as it stands,it will be a case of working within or around current legislation, most of the current laws where enforceable before the ban,so it won,t really make that much difference to the dedicated hunter. stabba 10,745
Tony Blair actually admitted in his memoirs that bringing the ban into force was the biggest mistake of his political career
