Mick C. 229
I make a sound somthing like psst just before the lamp is flicked on then i change it to chuck chuck if a rabbit is in the beam. Walk him up to a few squatters he will soon get the hang of it Quote Link to post

watchman 256
although iv never run a young dog im bringing on up the golf course i do use it to my advantage at times, nice short grass and a few sounds of encouragement to help the dog spot rabbits and get it looking down the beam dont take them long to pick it up when made easy for them Edited September 26, 2011 by watchman 1 Quote Link to post
J Darcy 5,871
Lamp him on rabbits that he can see, i.e, not squatters and he will soon pick it up. But at 11 months old, i wouldn't be too worried. Before you know it he will be taking those squatters like they're going out of fashion.Good luck. This one never moved...... Quote Link to post

This one never moved...... my bitch was the same she wouldnt run unless she saw a moving target, untill i put her on a squatter, she seemed unsure but crept up the beam and spotted it, still a little unsure she went nose to nose with it LITERALLY, then it flinched and she picked it up, now she will run the beam even if the rabbit sits in its seat 1 Quote Link to post
