lurcher and terrier temperments

Recommended Posts

Well pissed off with this thread! I've been debating for months what busher to get, finally settle of getting a beddy.....and now it looks like I'll have to rethink. My dogs are kept in the house, but I've got a baby who's playing on the carpet a lot of the time. No way can I risk a dog fight in the same room as a baby sat on the floor!

Do people get the same problem even if they're not the same sex? That terrier of yours Ethyl looked a right mess!

I don't have a problem with mine Rob, but then I'm with them most of the time in the house.

I know what you are saying mate, but he growls / grumbles like a miserable old fecker, but you can still pick him up and move him. He just likes to register his disapproval. Miserable git, bit like me

Thats a worst case scenario but i would keep a close on eye on them to be sure you never have to go through that its not nice at all. They all got on like a house on fire at one point the first ever fi

Cheers pal, she's real good natured but a little shit for fecking off of her own accord if she knows you're not watching her.. Good at getting through the thick cover and flushing things out and she's good at marking. Only problem is she's small enough to fit down most rabbit holes so acts like a ferret unless you watch her.

Rob, spaniels are soft as shit usually. I've known bitches to make thier feeling felt with other dogs but very rare you hear of any kennel fights or anything. If its a terrier you want and it has to be in the house buy a crate, that way when you arnt about and on hand incase of any trouble you know everything will be fine.

Yeah she was a mess mate just keep an eye on it or crate one while the babys around if your worried it can happen all too quick and a terrier versus a lurcher usually doesnt end very well.My bitch tells my dog off but he accepts it off her and other bitches but ive known males to fight back and attack the bitch

yeah that's true, I've got a crate in the kitchen that's plenty big enough so I could stick it in there when the baby's playing or when I'm out.
