i've been bitten accidently as has the missis, breaking up bitch fights.

I've been bowled over numerous times the best of which was when out lamping, the dog at full pelt, knocked me down a banking into a load of gorse bushes

The newest dog i have i had to threaten with a stick as he was returning that fast and would just run into me or anyone else he chose to run to  Just didn't bother him at all :icon_eek: one day he meant to run into the cellar, and ran into the house wall at speed  shit in hell i thought he's gonna drop...he never made a sound, he just raised his head looked at the wall, then the doorway and ran inside  it was such a loud bang the missus heard it upstairs at the front of the house and came to the window to find out what it was.

The worst i had was years ago from an old mates terrier, :drink: popped up one night like a silly :censored: i blew in its ear...it savaged my face :icon_eek: live an learn

loving these storys, making me chuckle abit :clapper: worst ive had is a nose bleed off the terrier. i was seeing how close i could get to his face and blow on him without him headbutting me or biting me. needless to say i pushed it too much and he butted me square in the nose.

my old saluki/grey x beddy/whippet/grey thought it was great fun to drag me about by my arm when i was little. i thought it was great fun too, she never broke the skin or anything, but mum had fun explaning why i was turning up to primary school every monday morning all bruised, looking like i'd been savaged. i was only 6... and the bruises were nothing serious, i just bruise really easily!

the collie x lab i used to have managed to put my back out. walking along a street in norwich, he suddenly decided he was interested in the lamp post we'd just passed, and in a flash had turned round & gone back to sniff it, taking the top half of me with him! so theres me, on me knees, swearing, with a mad dog in tow, dog still trying to go in the opposite direction (cos he knows i'm pissed off!) crawling through the city to get back to my ex's flat, down a road covered in dogshit... not fun

Gyp is a champ at scratching my face when he jumps up, he just doesn't seem to know where his feet are!

i think so far his two highest scoring attempts at injuring me are the time he legged it across the railway line, i went to get him back, got him on the lead, got halfway over the wire fence, when he decided to go through it, but behind me... leaving me upside down, stuck through the wire, caught by my jeans, with the lead wrapped round my leg. when i finally freed myself, i landed on my head, on a large lump of flint, and managed to cut my head open and give myself a big lump too!

the second was getting the rope i tie him up in the yard with wrapped round the stepladder i was on (picking plums), and then chasing the cat. my arse was black, blue, and covered in squashed plums after that one!

i had a few when i was a kid, i been bit in the face by a mongrol, still got a faint scar on my lip from that, and then was bitten by our pet doberman, he bit me on the ncek but at the same time slammed me in to the wall, i think i had 2 stitches in my neck, and about 6 in the side of my head, touch wood i havent been bitten since :) the old man has had a few nips while trying to break dogs up, he had a nasty one to his hand , then on another occassion he got bit on his stomach, it wasnt a bad bite but it did make him squeal

As a toddler my sister crawled up to my nans Bearded collie and shouted "woof", the dog responded by picking her up by the face and giving her a shake, she is now 30 but still has a small scar where her nose was pealed back and they had to sew her eyelid back on.

P.S. Millet, your with friends........did Molly give you that nasty cut

Great threads everyone. Only last week I was out with my two terriers on the 1st day I slid down an embankment and my mate had to tie the two leads together to a tree and I had to pull myself up. On the 2nd day my patterdale speeded passed me as I tripped over the lakeland and grabbed onto a bramble bush as I fell :icon_eek:. A few years ago at christmas time my dog had the floor up to the eyes and my partner mopped it, I went into the room with a cup of tea and the next thing I can remember is waking up halfway up the christmas tree with hot tea all over the place - apparently I did the shit kickers waltz on the wet floor knocking myself out in the process when I landed  . my work colleague was at my house at the time and still laughs about it now.
