Have they been known to kill domestic cats? :hmm:

 

Kill, I haven't seen it first hand. Eat? Yes, see results below of a study I contributed foxes to:

 

F02 21/03/2007: Plastic, unknown vegetation, apple, rodent, beetles

F07 21/03/2007: Caterpillars, lizard, beetles, leatherjackets and vegetation

F09 01/03/2007: Calf nuts, rabbit and sheep, caterpillars, worms, beetles, seeds.

F11 17/04/07: Sheep

F12 17/04/07: Rabbit or hare, beetles, worms, maggots, leather jackets.

F13 23/04/07: Worms, beetles, pine needles

F14 28/04/07: Sheep, beetles

F15 07/05/07: Dragonfly (most of stomach eaten by birds)

F16 19/05/07: Sheep, beetle

F17 19/05/07: Mice and voles, leather jacket, beetles, ants

F21 20/06/07: Sheep

F24 27/06/07: Field mouse, leather jacket, beetle, coachman, lichen

Walking the dogs over a local park they catch scent of something so start heading to a bush and a cat pops out the other side makes a bolt for it dogs follow a bit then a fox darts out runs the other direction. Couple of weeks later see the same cat in the same bush which a fox ran off don't know if it was same fox but always wondered wtf they were doing lol

i seen a fox an a cat fighting in my ole grannys garden, middle of the night, in a glasgow street..

 

only lasted aboot 20 secs an was some serious noise, but both cat an fox walked away from each other...

 

that cat was actually quite a big tom cat, i wid dare to say some foxes will kill the odd cat, some cats are weedy little fookers these days :thumbs:
