For get about other people run your own dogs as you see fit.To many pissing comps on here.

when im out lamping unless im on my own we would double up on fox not because we think the dogs cant do them on there own more because we would be lucky to get a handful of foxes close enough to slip

A fox would be despatched quicker by a single dog as it becomes a tug of war when doubled up ...imo if you gave a deer a hare and a fox 100yard law charlie would be the easiest caught ....but thats i

what would a good pre ban fox dog catch in a night single handed ?

depends on the amoun of game around pal i reckon , a dog can only catch whats put in front of him.Down my way they are lamped to shit and as soon as a lamp goes on them they are gone like the clappers. Its so bad that lads thet have dogs that wont kill foxes are still running them for the sake of it and educating the foxes

if the dog can do it there is plenty here  people talk about fox dogs like everyone ownes one but i dont think there are that many proper fox dogs about thats why theres so many people doubling up j.m.o

well feck me where ye living lol ,iv a 13 year old still killing them il wheel him up in his wheel chair  .I agree with you though pal they are hard to come by .Down here you need a fast dog with stamina and enough in him to kill them without taking enough stick cause its nearly all foxes we hunt

ive seen a few dogs run foxes that were ok but not what i would call proper fox dogs i think they are few and far between and its easy to get kennel blind if my 20 odd pound terrier can kill em i wouldnt keep a 60 or 70 pound lurcher that couldnt

i was down south calling foxes with 4 dogs they were all single handed but we did run paired up in november 14th ,two of the dogs had got bit on the ankle and only did 3 the second pair did 11 ,they were all big foxes but they would not have been able to go out the night after ,how would a single handed dog cope with all that

my wheaten x can only be run as a single handed dog as he can be abit funny with some other dogs he's killed 2 on the same day afew times without taking to much stick but wouldnt say hes a game dog hes always looking to get them by the throat or chest to aviod taking stick but will take stick when he needs to where as my bullx sometimes takes a good bit of abuse because she'll try and kill them from where she crabs it both single handed dogs but in my eyes the wheaten x is the smarter and better outta the 2 of them

11 foxes is a good number but 5 with one is alot better so two good dogs run on there own could acount for 11

i had a deer hound x dog that would smash foxes on his own but would not touch 1 if another dog already had it

my dog will kill with another dog he cant be trusted with some other dogs some dogs he wont bother with others he'll turn on so its easier not to run him with another dog just incase

i think a good foxing dog should be able to destroy foxes every night of the week

I met you over saltram bow, a few years back now when I was walking with Bulls uncle. So I know you can't do areas to different from the areas I lamp because I know a lot of your cousins, uncles and the lads they run dogs with and have seen zack, rio and heard lots of storys of sarge and the like and I know what you mean but also know that there isn't enough foxes around to put a lot of foxes infront of the dogs everynight of the week. You could possibly put them infront of them daytime if you were to bolt from the clitter but there's no where near enough to get good numbers a season down here and by good numbers I mean more then 80 a season but you could easy put 80 other things preban (hares ETC)
