great night with pups + Bryn

Sounds like a great night, i saw the malamute crosses at the Midland and almost went to have a chat, but myherding instinct was needed to keep an eye on the family........Like you say Ray, different folks have different methods of bringing pups on, I always leave mine until 10/12 months before i start them and that will never change, but be boring if we were all the same

i know what you mean Si , ive done the same as you with all my lurchers. But jon pup was brill for such a young age, really was great to see it

well done lads, great to meet up with like minded folk . quick question tho as they were both off slip does that mean they run doubled up all night just on a rabbit lol ??????????

No james, just kept them like we did hold one then run one. It was only Tod we had on the slip for a run. The other 2 when there turn to run , ran no slip and as you know Bryn will do that when he as had few runs. Ray

fair enough, interested how that works when there both off slip when u spot a rabbit do you hold the other dogs collar and let the one dog run and what happens if they spot the rabbit before lamp goes off how do you hold the other dog back, just interested in other ways. pm me if you like so doesn't ruin the thread

if you are holding one dog back while the other runs,you might as well have them on a slip. my dog works off the slip but only when out on his own .atb shushy
