MissRhianL 70
If you want everyone to get involved from different areas its more appealing to members if you have certain ppl volunteer to lead each group like organise it etc in different places so who ever would like to volunteer put their name forward an where they based so they are in charge of their own community this way noone has to travel an if its local ppl from off the site may join in
BULLDOUG 199
Well its good that we have some interest for a start, im happy to do my fair share of Donkey work to get things up and running. I thought we would have more interest especialy with all the road walking threads i read in the Lurcher section. But if this thread stays possotive and the right guys jump on it then we could have a succesfull fund raiser here. Im setting a couple of challenges to myself at the moment and have been looking into the three peaks (sounds bizzare) YIS Dougie

Simoman 110
Perhaps a hunting life show could be organised and the profits donated to charity?

dixiebop 125
Could the walk, reanact the Core walkers walk follow in their Footsteps,? You walk the part that is Local to you.And any Brave souls could walk the Full way all the way to London,Would be a Fitting Tribute to Big Naisby,Harrison and the other Walkers that did it The first time. I'm Sure the folk, that organised the Core walk are still around, would be worthwile getting in touch with them Money to the N.S.P C.C. help the kids with little light at the end of the tunnel

B.P.R 2,798
went the selkirk show today and there was a THL dog class. there wasnt any hooks gettin flung about there or bad words said. everybody has a common interest whether it be dogs/ferrets/ shooting and they dont have to have a running dog to get involved. once you get everybody together the beer will flow and the craic will keep you amused its a really good idea and would definitley be benificial to the sport. gotta make it an over night thing and on a weekend. im up for it
BULLDOUG 199
I agree mate a lot gets taken the wrong way on tinterweb, i dont know it aint for the older lads me thinks, only a few can really express what there trying to say with words and others including myself get frustrated trying (bit like the kid at school with the bad stutter) how red did he get at times. In real life when the beer flows and the craic comes out all the snides usually forgotten soon enough. I hope we can come up with somthing, deffo needs to be testing IMO (build a team spirit before the scoops)
WILF 46,811
Its a good idea, especially if it went to disadvantaged or disabled children.........I would make a point of being there.
