davyt63 1,845
Hi every one I invited Pil over for a shoot at Stanford house, last Saturday. We met up at about 7:30 ish pm, once we had are kit set up I took him for a walk around the property. It wasn’t long before he bagged the first of the night! A 30yd head shot on his NV unit with his AAS400 .22. Then I pointed out the boundaries to him and we set of for a mooch apart! We still had contact in case via the radios’i had walked about a 100 yds with my NV monocular to my eye moving slowly! I spotted a bunny run to my right and stoop! So I carried on until i was parallel with it. Stooped about 30yds from me and the fence, I was trying to conceal myself from it. Down on one knee mono NV to my eye for about 2/3 minutes to see if it was going to run, but it stayed motionless. Slowly i took my AAS410K .177 of my shoulder, letting down the Harris 13x27 bi-pod swivel. Another quick look and it’s still there! I turned on the Sony handy cam, waited for it to kick start another quick look “still there!” i turn on the cluson IR I had adapted, held the rifle steady of my knee and gently lowered it till i see the little white jewel! through the LCD screen. Now all I had to do was press record and concentrate, and control. I took up the first stage steady exhale THWACK! Over it went lights out! I was well chuffed as this took a lot of time, to get this rabbit so it made it even more pleasing! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8prX-ggCoA The rest of the evening went pretty much the same! With another 2 falling to the scopecam sniper Here are some pics Where they fell! Point of impact And where it Exited Group Photo Pil AKA Steve Myself Regards Davy Quote Link to post

PIL 7
Hi Davy , I'd like to say a big thank-you for taking me out to your Stanford permission ,what a great night and morning we had just didn't want to go home .The confirmed kills on the fence don't tell the full story i.e I took a 45 yard shot at a bunny the first shot fell short the second shot he wasn't so lucky ,I watched as the pellet struck bang on the noggin then roll over .I went to retrieve it a little later and after 15 minutes and a lot cussing & swearing I could not find it .In all there should have been at least another four hocked to the fence . After mooching around for a couple of hours managed to spot 3 fox's and a badger ,maybe one or two rabbits were poached from us before we could retrieve . Many thanks for the lone of your rechargeables just when I thought it was early-doors ,also its my turn for the Monsters next time .See you soon mate much appreciated . ATB Steve. Quote Link to post
