stealthy1 3,964
Had a couple of hours on this hedge, its a hedge I do annually, this year its Rape thats planted in this field, the bunnies favourite, but these bunnies are in for a shock This is the hedge. Looks like there's plenty of berries for the thrushes and waxwings this winter. And it looks like the local badgers have been out and about. Down to business, knee gear on, not cool, but at £5 to save picking thorn out of my knees, I'm willing to be uncool for a couple of hours A bit of netting up. The triangle method of placing a net And someone with a low bordem threshold while you net up And this is the way we went up the full lenth of the hedge. The action wasn't frantic, but the sun was shining and the bunnies were bolting. If you dont run, you will get your arse chewed. And if you do run, you will have your throat chewed Who needs an EU when you have a friendly rescue jill And the session ended like this This is my youngest jill at a year old. And this is my oldest jill at 5 years, older members with remember her ripping me to bits when I rescued her from a couple of idiots, wouldn't be without her now The end of day shots. 10 or 9 and a squeak, take you pick keep at them folks. Its funny you should say that, I shouted for the shovel and it nearly hit me on the head, couldn't understand why it came over so quickly, until my partner told me he was leaning on it when I asked, bad time for me to grab a gob full of iron bru, nearly Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
I'm no fan of hedge sets, especially well fenced hedges, nothing quite like dangling over the top of barbed wire trying to lay a net while hanging upside down, blackthorn in your fecking eye. And as for trying to dive in to grab the bunnies. . . . . Give me nice woodland sets anyday . . . . . Quote Link to post
