THE GRIFF 8 Posted September 23, 2011 Report Share Posted September 23, 2011 I changed the batteries in my 4 collars this week ready for the season to find 2 of them weren't working. I contacted deben directly on tuesday and and explained the problem, to be told not to wory if they were under 12 months old I would be covered under warrenty. I have always used the reciever magnet to turn them on and off and was told by them to try the fob magnet instead as this has a more powerfull magnet and may sort the problem. Wednesday morning i had a new fob type magnet recorded delivery through the post free of charge. I tried this on wednesday night and it did not solve the problem so I spoke to them on thursday and was told to send them in. Thursday afternoon I took them to the shop they were bought from and got them to sign a compliment slip to confirm they were purchsed in feb/march this year and posted them directly to deben myself. I have today (friday) phoned them to make sure they recieved them to be told they have been replaced and already in the post and I should get 2 new ones saturday or first thing monday morning. I have heard lots of bad reports on here about deben, and was worried i may not get these replaced free of chrge and the problem would take ages to be resolved. Deben have been great and done everything possible to help me out and they could't of dealt with it faster (unless they sent a helecoptor to deliver them). I will hopefully have recieved them in the morning or monday, I dont want to jinkx it but all seems good upto now. I will update this when I recieve them. Quote Link to post

ATB That is like asking ford to sort out a cortina or an escort though mate. As i understand most of the Mk1 are about 10-15 years old, for what they are and how thier used 10 years is a good run.
