lksopener 105
Gutted this evening lads, come home to find one of my two new jill kits for this year dead in her bed. Never thought it would get to me but the poor little thing was only 5 months old and she has had the best of everything from accomadation to food. Only had 6 split between 3 hutches but now down to 5, gutted as this little jill was looking promising for getting out working this year. Sad day for us in our househould. Nothing crueler than nature. Liam Quote Link to post

tegater 789
I dread this happening with mine because of the kids. I know this type of thing happens and I try and warn them, that it could happen. At least she had a good life, although short. Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
Very strange mate, keep an eye on the other one that was in with her. I'm dreading it, my best (and oldest) jill, has started to look a little bit dopey and slow of late, and when i go out to the court and she doesn't come running out i open up the nest box with a sense of foreboding. She has been a real trooper and character and my life will be a little poorer without her. Quote Link to post
