Just a update, done a little autopsy And found marks about 25mm apart on the Neck and chest

I've took some pictures but they are not great I've set some fenns in the area in tunnels and I'll fence snare where they came through I'll use the snares like I do for the rats but stronger and without the whips,basic fence snares I czn but only try folks,guna sit out with 410 each night till I nail it, have a look at the pictures see what u think worth cheers rich,

Might sound silly but are there any cats on the farm they love killing birds just a thought.

 

Not silly at all, because that came to my mind as well :D , cats will often eat a head and can often be lacking in the brains dept!

 

This whole thing is very un fox like, the polecat family may well have something to do with this :yes: , but various things here say the fox doesn't!

 

This doesn't look like any bird work either.

 

First choice would be Polecat Family then cats! :thumbs:

Hi All

Just a up date on the disturbing discovery, nothing been back and killed anything else to date. Have a few tunnels with fenns around the area where the mystery slayer tried to exit with the duck.if I catch anything I'll post it up, cheers lads n lasses for the advise. Ps the skin was ripped not feather plucked.
