patterdale with white feet

hi all a mate of mine has just bread a litter of patterdales and 3 of the pups have white feet they are from to patterdaled that are fully black he got sire and dam as pups and they are from wheeler linen as any one seen this befor or do you think there is jrt in the dog or bitch

they carried them white feet for years mate they was mainly on the toes on the back feet ....but when there muddy they look the same

Seen plenty with white on them,chest,feet,i have one here at the minute with white on the inside of her back leg and she is from a very long line of patterdales,makes not one difference as long as they work,too much emphasis on colour and looks nowadays.I can remember when the only question that would be asked about a terrier no matter what colour or breed it was is ,does it work,and thats what people should have in mind.

Dont no about this white toe thing so check me if you think im wrong! but around 1988 i see a hell of alot of black terriers coming in from the UK and around Ireland and saw none with white toes well they could have being around but i saw none then from around 2000 on it seems to be a commen thing in black dogs, i no it does not matter as long as they work but it always puts a big question mark on what is realy in the make up or is it just just old breeding coming out after all the years' who knows, but i was always thought one thing and thats that the apple never falls far from the tree........anyway just my take on black dogs with twinkle toes.....Mush

i no a few people wud say a blk terrier wif white feet is a patt x russel sumtimes it may b correct .but frm wat ive seen blk dogs always throw pups wif white feet sumwer down the line.

The mate had black dogs of a man called J Porter (rip) over 30 years ago never saw white toes on any of his pups threw out the years of that line then we mixed Booth dogs in and to this day we still get all black or choc pups with no white toes ' the only time i ever saw white toes on pups is when i crossed a red lakey to a black bitch of this Porter/Booth stuff.....so i new the white toes came from the lakey! most lads now can only guess or say it has to be bull or russell, it only takes one cross to let this gean into your line and even if all the pups come black it will out somewere down the road and thats why people ask the question were did it come from because they dont no themselfs.......thats why i say the apple never falls far from the tree! anyway once the dog stays till dug white toes are not important even if most lads hate it .......just my 2 cent wort on what iv seen and witnessed with the line we keep and remember a good horse is never a bad colour once his doing the job.....Mush

edit to say it was 12 years ago i bred the lakey dog to my black stuff and another mate right this moment has pups down of this lakey blood and a few of them have white toes but he knows the truth of were it came from.........photo of the culbreth that puts the twinkle toes in the pups lakey/patt dog

got a pat here he has white tips on his back feet and a white blaze on his chest he is 3/4 gouldy
