artic 595
Not had the time to write this, and I'll keep it very short. I invited a member from THL to come down here to my permission for a little walk around the estates. The conditions were avarage, very silent with plenty cloud cover to mask the dreaded full moon. I took both my dogs who were joined by a small bull cross called Stanley. Now bull crosses are not my cup of tea, (I just don't have the need for them, and work large fields........ ) but I did like the way this one was built and how well trained it was on and off the lead....very patient. There was plenty of rabbits about, (and sheep in some places) it was one of those nights where you could pick and choose for the dogs to just have a go.... My saluki cross did extreamly well after recovering from a small injury, he confirmed his good fitness for the up and coming season. The deerhound cross once again managed to put a smile on my face with his great pace and determination. Now my partner for this particular night failed to find me the night before and clocked up so many miles then went home leaving me dry It turns out that this particular person had no battery life on his phone, no map, no sat nav, no pen! I went looking for him with the blood hounds, however he was half way up the M1! Anyway he managed to find me the following evening with a fully charged mobile and precise directions I would like to confirm, that he is no mute, but a brute of a man! If your reading this do you remember the following conversation? Partner "What the f**k is that!" Me: "Err....Where" Partner: "Fecking hell....look on the skyline" Big eyes! All in all a good night and a great laugh, there are some decent people around. Quote Link to post
