lamping! lithium batterys!!

Recommended Posts

spoke 2 a bloke in the arthur carter stall at the game fair. he said it was about 400 charges life expectanc, and wont go dead over the summer if not charged like some of the dry cells. so even at 3 charges a week in the season should last up to 4/5 years.

Iv got the 22amp and so far iv never had one spot of bother with it, as for the charge iv had 2 long nights lamping with off the belt and it still had a bit charge left after the second night! The connections all right in my opinion iv just cut the cigar bit off the wire and just joined the wires together off me lamp, nice and neat, no probs so far. Touch wood lol

The only thing that will affect the beam, is a drop in voltage, and I have never experienced that yet,, in fact the discharge curve is much flatter on the lithium batteies than on other types, so the beam will stay stronger ,for longer.

Well worth it, far better than lugging a stone of battery around all night,,

Been using them since they came out, gave my 10 amp to my mate, had two seasons from it never had a any problems. I got two 22's now and they seem to last for ever lamping never had a problem with conections or the lamps not having enough power. Its hard to please everyone ! I suppose price comes into...

I have the 14 amp/hour and so far it's been fine. I have cable tied the lighter socket to the side of the battery which still allows me to open the case and charge it. I have put some insulating tape around the two lighter connections to stop any connection problems/movement and I have also taped up the end of the male lighter connection where the wire goes to the lamp as I thought this looked a bit vulnerable.

The battery lasts 3 short lamping sessions (approx 2-3 hours) with a 75watt variable lamp.
