conor 7
I think a sheep's is superior to a goldfish one ? .I see you have two guns as you see the need to list them , how many working terriers do you own ? . I'd say none by the post I quoted you from , so that brings into question your knowledge to make any comments on this particular thread and any other where the subject of working terriers is being discussed . You would'nt see me mouthing off on a thread concernig rifles or lurchers , that's where the sheep's brain shows it's superiority you see . you shot down her pup because you dont like the look of him, knowing not much else about the pup. your narrow minded mouthy person and only like what you have yourself. im not getting into an arguement with you because i cant be bothered with narrow minded people and im not good at argueing either good luck Quote Link to post

fellman 116
there are lots of sites for "show" dogs never understood why "show" dogs are on a working terrier site anyway ? people who have show dogs and frequent both working terrier sites and shows have ,in my humble opinion , a few reasons to be there firstly they like the "scene secondly they are out and out trophy hunters thirdly there dogs are neither good enough to win kennel club shows or good enough to work but they will win working terrier shows some folk have both kinds workers and show dogs ..........never the same dog tho always diffrent dogs for each never the twain in my opinion why there is so much fuss over a twenty pence rossette is beyond me! and of course there are those who like to win shows so they can knock pups out !!!!!! and this isnt directed at anyone in particular ( but if the cap fits ) borders owners are the worst culprits !!!!!!!!! asking 400 quid for a pup etc etc etc ......... yis fellman Quote Link to post

Never won anything other than one or two second places though. What category do I fall into? He works just fine. Quote Link to post
Dawn B 212
You would be ok Nuv See I dont fit in because my bitch has only been dug to 5 times ever, I now choose bushing, ratting, shooting and Squirreling, my choice, and my male, whom i sought advice on here for at the time, doesnt work Fox anymore because my pocket suffered greatly and so did his face and legs, whilst many may think thats cool and super duper, I found it a bloody nuisance, and was sick of a dog healing for weeks on end after just one trip out! again my choice NOT the dogs! I'm not sure if I would fit in the showing category either at the moment, considering my bitch wasnt showed last year at all except for once in December, and hasnt been showed at all this year either, male has never been showed full stop!!!!! Oh and I am not fitting into the breeder category either, cos A. I have never bred a litter and B. I have no intention too!! Dawn. Edited March 26, 2007 by Dawn B Quote Link to post
TOPPER 1,809
Getting boring and silly now if the dog suits you so be it you dont have to answer to anybody. as to what constituts a working dog dont even go there!!! i personally side with chief on that one but thats only my opinon, your dogs you do what you want with them, everyone has a right to an opinon even some lowlife ANTI and ill defend that to the last Quote Link to post
