donnyc 1,203
Talked to a few people, not directly linked to this topic, about what type or stamp of dogs they keep and the only thing that is clear is we all have a preference for one type or other. Very few people will keep several different stamps of dog, wether they be white, red or black and any other colour size and shape in between. The, " I only keep workers and aren't bothered what they look like " statement, simply isn't true, if these folk are honest, it does matter, and in fact it matters a lot. 10 inch to 15 inch red white and black .thats my scruffy crew Except you then Well if you have to strip an engine down no good only having a pair of pliers Different dogs for different jobs in my opinion. No good a 15inch lump in a small place as he wont get there.Contrary what a lot of folks say about if his heart is there he would. In my opinion thats a loada crap.Same dog cant go in a small fissure in rock he aint gonna dig on is he?Got to have all sizes to cover all eventualities FULL STOP.But they can still have good and CORRECT conformation .And back to topic I do like a good Border. elisderyn 496
In laymans terms......................Dont put pics of non workers on a WORKING dog forum............I k n o w it s d i f f i c u l t ............... But its this kind of mentality that has led to he demise of many working strains even breeds............If you want to post pics of "puffy" or "snowball".......chuck it on the general talk section or better still send them into "pets do the "funniest" things"................ I personally think it wrong to put show shite in the same sentance as true working animals but thats just my opinion................P.S. Chief..........Did you like "Deisels" show winning pics in EDRD..... .....At last a show pics a working terrier in a working terrier show............ Quote Link to post

Nutcracker 0
been away awhile but by the looks of this thread the whole terrier part is being taken over by girls, pets, asslickers, just people who have no idea what a working dog is .Dont bother coming back with smartass answers because i have no interest in your opinions youve shown through your pictures and comments and attitudes where your coming from.i joined this place as i was told it was a serious working terrier site but all i see is tykes chasing rabits rats squirels and some not even good enough for that simple task . No wonder so many breeds have gone to ground for good as regards to working proper quarry if people like you who have written so much crap on this thread continue to tap into working lines and pretend to keep workers , any useless mutt from any animal shelter can kill a rat chase a rabbit or run a squirel up a tree what a bloody joke .this site a premier working terrier forum ? nothing could be further from the truth if this thread is anything to go by , what a bloody joke .seems one person had the balls to say something he believs in and most of you jumped on him because you didnt like hearing the truth.little people with little minds who are satisfied with having untested useless squirel and rabbit chasing working terriers . working terriers ? dont make me laugh .
