THE POACHER 13
According to Dawns posts on another forum she has a dog that mixes it and is too hard for earthwork so maybe they are multi purpose Cruft attending borders after all I think if you read that correctly it would say IMO, the dog was no good to me as a Fox dog as he got chewed up too often and I was sick of having a dog that worked one night/day then was healing for the next 2 weeks! Also if you cared to look, you would also find I asked for advice on THIS forum about it at the time. if you folks wasnt chewed up dogs in your kennels, thats fine, I dont. Oh, that dog has never been showed either. Dawn. terriers are going to get knocked up thats no reason to keep them from working if thats the fact if you want terriers that aint going to work and show why dont you get a yorkshire terrier or a toy poodle and leave the WORKING terriers to people who are going to WORK them Quote Link to post
Dawn B 212
Thats your choice Poacher, however, a dog being stitched up repeatedly I did NOT want, a dog that took weeks to heal, I did NOT want. I dont mind any dog taking a bit of damage, never have, but this dog was not working in a manner I was happy with, my choice, not yours. You were happy for a thread on a forum to contain a dog of yours sitting on a bench pruned and pampered at Crufts ....... Working terrier ? , I doubt it . Of course I was, a boy was enjoying a day at crufts with his father, taking pictures, why on earth would I have a problem with that? it was NOT a bench, it was in the discover dogs section, not that it matters. If I had anything to hide I would of asked him not to take pictures wouldnt I? You lot really are something else. Quote Link to post
Guest MOLLY
You keep pets and showdogs and I keep working (earthwork) terriers . Ahhh but!...yours are also cute MOLL. Quote Link to post

Dawn B 212
None of it bothers me, its just the constant bickering and back stabbing if you have a Border! its so childish its pathetic. Just because I dont dig to my dogs every week or whatever, and now because I said my older Border was getting to chewed up I didnt work him of Foxes anymore, and I have one that I can bush, take shooting, retrieve, rat and use for Squirreling aswell, you get "picked on" like school boy tactics, and from a moderator aswell, somebody that is supposed to strike balance on a site! There are lots of folk on here that ENJOY showing their dogs and DO NOT work them to fox or anything else for that matter, but if it isnt a Border, then your'e in the club! This site has come in for a lot of critisism of late, is it any wonder why so many dont post any more? Quote Link to post

collie/grey 238
Your dogs, your life, your choice what you do with them, no one elses. Just ignore the undesirable comments by 'hard men with working dogs'. It's a crime to show a working dog, everyone knows that........... Don't give them the pleasure of answering their comments, they'll then give up. Your posts are always enjoyable and that little pup is a cracker. Quote Link to post
