But if it's worked for you then nice one! Quote Link to post

PoCk0 40
Take him a bottle of whiskey aswell after a few sessions, then he might mention a few more 'better' places Quote Link to post
rob190364 2,594
yeah I can understand commenting on the amount of rabbits in the field would help, but the condition of his livestock might be a bit of a touchy subject with some of them....especially from a stranger! dunno though, worth a try I suppose. Leeview 791
When there was a lot of rabbits in the dales the farmers reckoned 3 rabbits could eat as much grass as 1 sheep in a day and they could sell the sheep at market but not the rabbits Y.I.S Leeview Quote Link to post
muddy210 34
from my experiance if the land is keepered then the best person to ask would be the keeper most farmers would point you in there direction anyway. often best on keepered land to get a bit of beating in a it gets you infront of the keeper but also gets you round the land. getting permission half the time is about trust would you want someone that knocks on your door walking round your back garden without knowing them. im not saying permission cannot be gained from just door knocking coz it can but it helps to get your face seen from a few people in the know as in all walks of life its who you know not what you know. B.P.R 2,798
Farmer. He's got the overall authority of the land. I remember pigeon shooting with the gamekeeper and the farmer just told him to piss off because he was gonna put his cows in there haha Quote Link to post
