Mk3 locators knackered, any ideas??

Just changed the batteries in my mk3 collars and receiver and 2 out of them out of the 4 aren't working.

They don't even bleep when I try to switch them on. I aren't sure if they were working before I changed the batteries because I haven't used them for a couple of months.

Has anyone any ideas, they are less than 12 months old so should still be covered under the warranty, but can't find the receipt.

They seem to be a sealed unit so I presume they can't be repaired.

Any help or ideas to try and get them working would be appreciated!!

try cleaning the cap out bud if its the aluminum one it gets oxidized ect and cant make a proper connection with the battery make sure there nice and shinny inside

I am going to take them into work in the morning and give the connections a clean with isoprphonal, does anyone know if they can be repaired?

try cleaning the contact on the coller as well as the cap its rare for the collers to break down and try the batteries even new ones may be flat

Make sure you have the right batteries for you particular collars, also make sure the batteries are the right way round and have not shorted out

having problem with mine collar switches on and off but batteries going flat in collar over night, i spoke to deben they said nothing they can do

The batteries are correct and testing 1.5 volts.

I am going to ring deben tomorrow if I can't get them to work after cleaning the connections.

I have heard the aftersales is sh1t with deben, will let you know how I get on!

i have been testing collar batteries brand new ones saying 1.53v i put them in collar switch on and its working fine switch off and left for 1hour then checked batteries one read 1.52 the other was 0.62 they are draining for some reason, but yet collar is switched off, even if it wasnt switched off they should last for days, all deben said was buy a new collar

Have had the same problem with a couple of Mk3M collars where I put brand new batteries in the collar and turn them off. A few hours later one of the batteries is flat. If the collar is left turned on then the batteries last as they should.

i have exactly the same problem with one of mine,i even put sony batteries in just to try normally i can get a good few hours out of them but still flat as a fart next day,i think i prefer the other mk3 collar where you have to remove the batteries at least i can test them before i put em back in!!!!
