Guest dee mac
maybe a pic like lump hammers in a few years of him after working too ground and you might get a few good positive comments as for shaking rats aready a 3lb cat can kill and carry off a rat so its not something worth boasting about in my opinion Quote Link to post

Big bald beautiful 1,231
Seen plummers killing vast numbers of rats at 5 mths old, not mine before you say owt...so whats the big deal. a lot of breeders pick out the old dogs from books, magazines because the newer dogs on the pedigree are shite Quote Link to post

omegathelast 160
.......guys guys, what is wrong with you all?? terrier sport has enough enemies without constant internal bickering!! I like both dogs and Im sure Gravel's dog will work..its certainly looks smart. Lumps dog is a proper russell obviously doing the business which is fantastic to see as a Russell fan. I actually knew Brain Plummer so know those dogs were bred 100% for work and the older lines and outcrossed parallel lines dug and ratted so if the modern ones have half their ability you will have a mega dog Gravel. Just on the raggin rats thing it is true almost any half decent terrier at 5-6months will do rats, its how the dog develops its working abilities, like marking in filth, intelligent almost extra sensory hunting/catching, spotting and swiming out into fast flowing rivers to kill rats and yes will it hunt anything else above or below ground and how does it perform in those senarios.... enjoy your dogs and sport and lets see some solidarity. There are already enough idiots and petty criminals that have pushed this sport into gutter. You guys are not so why slag each other off?? lets have some love!!! 3 Quote Link to post
