cn's buddy X malmute/grey pups

Recommended Posts

I dont see the big deal in big numbers with two or three dogs personaly, you know you got a good rabbiting dog when there running on there own run after run and they still keep going even when there f****d.

do you lamp large numbers of rabbits yourself?

if you run two dogs and you take 60 your dogs will still only get eneougth time to get there tonges in while the other dog runs before they run again beleive you me thell need to be fit.

If I took your dog on a feild and run it 1 run after another on 60 rabbits youd either have to stay out a very long time to give the dog eneogh rest or it will fall over, my dogs are breed to "stay" but no dog can run rabbit after rabbit with out a break the man behind the lamp should know better.

Just to add im not defending this new male mute x I think there just another gimmick and as firstlie a coursing man it sadeness me nuthall would even put a dog like buddy over such mongrals ( I suppose the £ 500 stud fee clouded hes judgement).

doesn't the bloke who owns the dam best mate [bANNED TEXT] c Nuttal known each other for years

Sometimes money don't come into the equation. if it did why would P have bred his pedigree Malamute to a greyhound in the 1st place instead of collecting big money on pedigree puppies.

there's some funny folk on this site who don't see past there computer screens and the books they have read.. Its all about trying something new and interesting and going against the stereotype.

Don't knock something because you know nothing about it... and as for the £500 stud fee... it would have been worth every penny spent.. or maybe C will just add it onto the fee for the next mongrel it has to climb on top of... "baldockbanks courser" you should have some manners when talking about other people and there dogs.

is that photo the one that caused a stir about wether or not the dogs in it actually caught the rabbits?

I think it is and they didn't catch them did they? :whistling:

obviously i wasnt there, so dont know for shure............. but what i do remember from that thread was , there were quite a few crabbers, and in the end flint got fed up with it and just said ok they didn't do it............ but anyone with a bit of common sence could see he was fed up with all the bolox, and was just talking tongue in cheek.

i wish them well, i liked the idea of these dogs, and if my circumstances were difrent would like to give one a go, and the hole sled dog thing is somthing that has been rumbling under the surface for years, i remember talking dogs with a mate years ago, and talking about such crosses.

sounds a bit elitest, to say nuttal should not have mated his stud to this bitch,, maybee he has a genuin intrest in all types of lurcher, and is open minded. all the best TOMO

As a non-coursing man it saddens me that some coursing men think they're a class above other hunters.

Baldockbanks courser don't you throw your hares in the hedge? Is that because you respect your quarry? :whistling:

I think Bunnys reply is worthy of note on this unusual cross. Personally, I like sommat different BUT it must come with all the thought and honesty with it. I do belive Flint and co have done there homework and time will tell.

I have been out in the presence of Flint and these dogs and they certainly looked the part, never seen a dog with more ivory! Flint seemed an honest enough bloke too. They got a run or two but I was on the other side of a wood and missed it and later, whilst waiting for the hounds to come in, in deep snow, 'ol Flint looked mighty uncomfortable, we all were, but he ain't no spring chicken and called it a day. Shame really, as later on the action came thick and fast and I could'a seen them dogs run!

As for this mating, well as far as I can see, these are the next generation and you'll get no better stud than Buddy. I do not see it as something that must be 'lacking' to use a stud of this type.

It'd be the right mating for me too, far better a dog like Buddy than a greyhound in my opinion and if I was looking to add speed etc to any cross, a well bred match dog would always be first choice. If I was in the market, i'd find out some more and maybe give one a go.

I'll keep my eye out on these pups, should be interesting and if we can all keep a bit of civility about them we may hear plenty more, good or bad, and ain't that what this forum is all about..? ;)

i seen them in the flesh, ok not working but seem run around , and they were alot faster+agile than what you would think .By putting them back to coursing dog to me you will get a really good lurcher that will take most quarry. Regards temp , they were bidble well behaved and steady from what i saw. Ive got colliexgrey + bull x grey as most know, and ive had both these types quite a while, so i know what the temps are like from this type of dogs (x). And if a dog can still do the same job as the xs i keep , and maybe not so robtic like a colliex, or reckless like some bullxs, and these dogs did seem very differnt to my dogs, well i dont think its a bad thing at all .
