If worked regular the best will get tag dont care what knack they have....

But no they dont have too look like they have went ten round with edward scissors hands

I agree, as i said in my post my bitch had a few scars BUT not as many as some dogs which had seen far far less, knack dogs may take less punishment but yes they still do take some.........

Seen it if my own eyes Simo,

Seen plenty work i think too to myself that dogs takeing unnessersary stick here, And see the one that were clever (The ones people tend too think were less game cause they wouldnt take stuiped holds and always move for a better hold/finish) that could easyly do 2/3 a night 3 days a week, week in week out cause they never took much stick,

BUT like i say when work regular and hit a good un they'll get tagged like the others, Me i like seeing a clever dog work something sensieble that can be work regular and not laid off half the season but everyones diffrent and want diffrent things, Dont get me wrong i liked seeing a game dog work and apprieciate it but then IMHO the only thing that can compeat with that sort of gameness is the same breed and weight but that JMO...

Glad someone put this thread up as I have just come back in from exercisng my rubbish and was thinking about the exact same question and what intelligent answer would i give if i were asked it.

And here we go :

Any dog that is used for stuff that bites back, regardless of how much of a technique or "knack" he has of engaging and dispatching said quarry will, without a shadow of a doubt get tagged at some point or another, guaranteed.

Then i came up with these examples as i walked, fucjk i'm glad someone asked this question tonight because i'd have forgotten my answers by tomorrow,

Next pearl of wisdom coming up : Even Muhamud Ali, Joe Calzhage and floyd mayweather jnr, with their undoubted technique, guile and talent, in their time, have all got caught with a "free to good home" punch at some point or another. So even a dog that is master at the game will get a working badge at some point, some more than others yes, but all will show evidence of work.

Just my humble opinion, for what its worth.

I enjoyed the walk by the way....... Thanks

At the risk of posting too many serious replies in one day..............Im agreeing with you fellas, just saying some get tagged MORE than others, i dont for one second believe that when dogs were regularly working foxes they didnt get tagged, especially with any sort of regularity.........

on the note of the fuckers who cut the muzzle, also heard, or in fact sure i read it on here actually, of someone who only partually opened a tin of dog food so the dog had to force its muzzle into the can, thus cutting itself and giving the presumption of it been "well worked"

it just comes down to each dog, some will take some stick and try not to get bit as much the next time. Then you get some will just grab anywhere and fight the quarry , and do this all there working lives and never change. My last bullxgrey was like this, he never changed he was marked up,just 1 of those things.!
