does he / she need to be scared up ??

Recommended Posts

i've read on here soooooo many times that wow he / she looks like its done some work because its scared up, and i've also just seen the fact a dog doesnt look like as if its done any graft because it hasnt a great deal of scars :hmm: :hmm:

so my question is has anyone seen a good grafting dog / bitch that has very little scaring??

and my thoughts are that if the dog has a massive amount of scaring then it aint finishing the job quick enough :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

Depends if you are refering to fox dogs, takers of edible game will obviously be different. Pre ban I have owend dogs that that looked different, dogs with rough coats that have been bitten during the season but after a few weeks rest they look like they have never seen a thing, also had dogs look heavily worked and had a bitch that took them regularly during the season but she only had a few scars on he rmuzzle, she seemed to be a knack dog and throated most and rarely got bitten..............

Ive posted a few photos from time to time of terriers, have often had the comment that goes "you never dug that with that dog" I think it says a lot about the mentality of the poster.

and thats what i mean, i was speakin to some little pr1ck and he was sayin him and his mate used to cut the dogs muzzel to make it looked like its a worker and i couldn't belive what i was hearing.

i've seen a smooth coated lurcher bitch that tuck alot of reds and others, and she was very little scared and i belive she wasn't scared becase she knew that she had to finish it before she got it sort of thing (sorry for the grammer)

so would you say the more work the dog got the less scared up it would be as he/she would learn what was coming once it caught its given quarry?? so then later on if it was a quick learner then it would still do the given job with out being scared up :hmm:

No, thats not the point i was trying to make at all, some dogs want to kill stuff, some want to fight it, some will have a knack and rarely get bitten, some will get bitten every outing........
