RossM 8,149 Posted September 17, 2011 Report Share Posted September 17, 2011 i was on a forum a few years ago that had a pre-ban section and unless you had clearance for it you couldnt view or post on it, it worked well but then again it was a smaller website than this and your lucky if 25 of us could use that section of it. that would be a dangerouse place to post,, although some member might not have been able to view it,,, you can garantee the police would be able your right mate, and im not as daft as some folk like to think although i posted on it it was txt only no images and i always ended it with the stories were made up for the benefit of readers, Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Is there any chance of a section for, shall we say, more established members? Somewhere admin has to ok you or someone sensible vouch for you before you can post? Just got half way through reading the "is 2 leverets worth an adult hare?" after the "i got nicked for shooting my gun in public" thread and thought wouldnt it be nice to read more about hunting and less about crap. When i first came on here there were more hunting threads and less idiots, seems alot of members who used to post good threads have gone else where. Moochers have a vouching system and it seems to work for them but there just arent the number of members to post enough. Equally IanB could pick who he likes based on previous posts, although that sounds like its already been done. Also if all the top thl boys and girls are smuggled into the vip area, wheres theres free booze and talk of the god old days....... who can we all turn to for advice and guidance we may all start believing that 2 leverets equal 1 hare without you here................ The historical and experienced opinions of some members are very good to read indeed. If any changes were made at all, I would like to see some of the shooting, lurchers, terriers and trapping sections all lumped under a general title of hunting so that there was a better mixture of interest and not so obvious to outsiders exactly what form of hunting the poster is talking about, for example.......you can put up a picture with a fox and a rifle & dog, but if its in the lurcher section you have pretty much said it all ! Nobody is qualified to say who is "genuine" and who isnt...........for all I know, lads that I think are a twat on here may be decent lads in real life, who knows?
