6pack 60
Always shocked by those that turn their backs on their dogs so quickly. Lets hope you are not overcome with boredom while hunting then Quote Link to post

Tyla 3,179
Interesting, mine are both pets and workers. I have one retired due to injury and shes still here so i'd probably keep them and if they were here cant image not working them. To be honest i cant really imagine having a dog as just a pet, had gun dogs before the lurchers and terrier. I wouldnt want to be without a dog and i wouldnt want to have a dog that doesnt work do i guess i will just have to keep hunting Just out of interest, Whin and Tomo in particular, as you've been involved in the dogs a long time - what would make you give up the dogs and the hunting? forest of dean redneck 11,623
if i havent a dog round me i feel empty, a bull breed or mongrel as a pet. or a hunting dog. if you have a dog you have to get up and out and not fester away. theres nothing like tramping round the countryside with a dog and camera looking at the plants and wildlife. 1 Quote Link to post
tsteve9999 456
No way would I get rid, Even if I gave up actually going out looking for game my dog would still have a good life mooching along canal banks and suchlike, thats something I've done all my life and will never stop doing.
