bobslurchers 1
My OH has changed job, meaning 3 days a week there will be no-one home the whole day plus the commute to work. Before OH worked from home so the dogs just used the dogflap during the day and ammused themselfs during the day. I am wondering about an outside kennel for them during the day, as I am loathed to just let them use the dog flap when we arent home. I was thinking about getting a dog walker to just pop in on them about lunchtime, but the only one close enough I dont trust with my dogs as she thought letting them run around in a tennis court with glass on the floor and let them cut their feet up! rob190364 2,594
You not got any friends of relatives at home that could have them when you're not there? I work from home but in all honesty if I take mine out for an hour first thing she barely moves off her bed until the evening anyway so it wouldn't make any difference if I was there or not! wozzer 8
a large dog run would be ideal if you had the space and money Quote Link to post

irishnut 297
they are dogs, not kids, put them in a DOG pen/run. walk them in the morning and evening. my dogs are in the pen even when i am at home, unless i'm doing something with them, i.e cleaning them or the pen 2 Quote Link to post

Cold Ethyl 63
Im really lucky if im away on a transport run or whatever that either Andy is here with them or my dad will sit with them for me.I can leave the older ones no probs and the pup just dont like leaving them too long.Especially the pup just cos shes still a youngster and still gets 4 meals a day should really be cutting her back to two now but havent got round to it.My bitch i could leave all day and she wouldnt do anything shes like a camel so is the big lad even the pup can hold it well for her age.If you dont trust the dog walker dont risk it try and find a mate or someone who will come in and let them out for a pee and give them a biccie or whatever Quote Link to post

bobslurchers 1
You not got any friends of relatives at home that could have them when you're not there? Our mates are all to far away or at work too. My parents dont like my dogs and OH's mum who likes them lives too far away and dont drive. My main concern is just having someone to let them into the garden or letting them have acess outside to use the "facilities" if they need to. As they spend most of the day asleep anyhow till I get back home and take them out. I think I will look for a run I can attach to the back door where the dog flap is to make sure they cant get pinched. Quote Link to post
