Had a few.

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

Rich and I had planned a trip for Thursday, good weather predicted, and they got it right.......bless 'em.

We both zeroed our rifles, and then made our way to the permission.

Cracking weather, and hardly a breeze, no sodding cows either........Rich had the pleasure of their company on this trip :tongue2::laugh:

Rich made his way to his hot spot, and I went off to my little haunt.

Not much showing for a while, but picked up as the time marched on.

First shot was a stander at about 35yds, just see the head and ears over the grass, took the shot, and he was mine.

I left it where it was and waited just in case his mate popped out for a look, but no, so moved on.

Spotted another on a bank lased at 53 yds, the sun was behind me, and when I took the shot, I could see the pellet through the scope travel all the way to its mark, dropped like a stone, number two in the bag.

The shot of the day for me was a 58ydr, again, could see the pellet travel to its mark, on the button, and down it went.

Had a few more all around the 35/45 mark, and was happy with the results of the mooch.

Met Rich back at the car, and he had done well, three nice sized rabbits, and a squizzer.

Sad to say, a couple of the bunnies had the dreaded Mixy, never happy to see that about.

58ydr with my faithfull S10 .22

Yes Bill mate, you showed me how to do it, again. It was a very enjoyable few hours (apart from the cows, as i had spent a fair old time getting into position) 10 mins and i hear heavy breathing behind me, so i had to parade across my stakeout and try somewhere else. If the weather stays good we'll be out again. Haven't told you this, but got feelers out for two more permissions, speaking to people down the RAFA club,

cheers Rich

Great post that Bill and some serious bagging! I'm really pleased for you to be out and about getting some great sport in, after the hassles you've had with your eyesight.

All the best mate!
