yampydoo 19
got a pup on now 10mths i run her couple of times when i go out and i hold her back to watch she has had about 15 rabbits and she is coming on well live back to hand . got no real rush with her just steady runs at the mo. norm i would not start till around 14mths but she just took to it early and with not running her hard yet and letting her mature a bit more should make a good dog in time . she will find her own feet in time and that second gear that she is lacking at the mo. whip x grey 276
depends on size dogs going to make,,,,,,smaller the breed ,,,usally means earilier u can start it,,,whippet or trerrier breeds also bitches tend to come on quicker than ,,,the male sex,,,,i,e in racing u normally get good idea off a bitch at 12/14month,,,,but a male 15/17 month ( rough gide) male dogs come on later as a whippet/grey man,,,,,i find the pup that has longer to grow and size,,,tends to take longer what iam saying,,,,,its ur dog,,,ull know in 70,s and ,s ,,,,plls brought on there dogs alot earlyier,,,,nowadays due to vet exspecive bills,,,lev them till later ,,, rather than take the risk ive always felt,,,,the dog will tell u,,,and when u start,,,,keep going as,,,theres no point in stopping them,,,,uless there fruit cakes and seem hellbent in injurying them selfs every time u let them off there lead Quote Link to post
