Yes Asprin is safe, but it is also an anticoagulant, so if there is internal bleeding NOT a good idea. Get the dog to a vet. Quote Link to post

Always thought it was a no no and better using Metacam or something similar. was thinking the same mate, can give paracetamol around 10% of the tablet crushed but I was always told at the tracks ibrufen shouldn't be used Quote Link to post
hogdog 61 Posted September 15, 2011 Report Share Posted September 15, 2011 The use of painkillers in dogs is a very tricky subject, all painkillers can have detrimental effects in dogs so I would be very wary about using them without proper veterinary supervision. What's more worrying is that you're masking the pain without knowing the cause...Get it to a vet! Quote Link to post
