i was out lamping other nite, spotted a bunny, just about to slip the dog when a fox come out of a hedge about 15 yds away an picked the bunny up

 

beleive it or not, it happend....

 

i had an amber filter on for anybody that cares ]

I am sure plenty of you have seen Hares, Fox and Deer run into an alarm call from rabbits or other hares or young deer......as we all know, Owls will absolutely bomb in to a squeak...........the fox taking the rabbit off the dog is a new one on me, but I dont doubt it as strange things happen.

Ive had foxes come sprinting towards the dog when theyve grabbed a rabbit on the lamp but never get in close enough to the dog usaually relised somethings up and hightail it,years back it was about the end of september october time the dogs nailed a big dog fox on the lamp 2 dogs 1 was a 1st timer the other was the old dog next thing from the edge of the lamp cmae to more i think the racket muct of atracted them

on the fox subject i do feel town and city foxs have alot less fear than country foxs so remeber the one that attacked the babies down south, it may be true, well im comitted to the possibility :laugh:
