and here i was thinking that this was a mature forum for serious hunters some of whom i could learn a thing or two from....

if i wanted to see a petty argument about who put up what then Id look at my Facebook feed. come on guys, get a grip. if you don't think it happened, then it didn't happen. if you think it did, then it did! sounds interesting to me, but i take it there were no photos or videos? oh well. just someone trying to share what he saw!

:boredom:

And that is where you went wrong...................

Because every other day theres a piss take or a wind up on this site and you have to make up your own mind if its true or not. Now if the OP put a fox came running in quick close to the dog to get the rabbit then thats quite plausible....to say it was going to take it out its mouth is a bold statement. If a few folk say they have seen similar things then al just have to hold my hands up and say i was wrong.....

i understand that there are a lot of bellends on here, but is it necessary to have an argument about it, whilst quoting eachother constantly? (yes i am aware i am doing the same thing now...)

well here goes lads/Lasses,many moons ago i was out with a 7 month pup collie x greyhound up in a little place called coldingham [berwick].we were out for a few rabbits on a turnip field when my pup took a bunny ,as he was retrieving it a fox came from no where and actually ran at the pup who then dropped the rabbit which ran away. this same pup turned out to be the best fox dog i ever owned and took fox from 11 months onwards i dont know if his earlier experience had owt to do with it but boy this dog hated them with a vengeance

Had a pup (6 months) run a squirrel in the park, this is in the morning, a fox ran the same squirrel, they ended running along side each other.

They both shat themselves ran away from each other, once they realised what was going on. The squirrel got away.

This was preban before squirrels were put on the protected from dogs list.
