Guest Lurcherbitch
Well how proud am I. Two of my rescue dogs Jake and josie have come first and second in the nlrc champion of champion coursing. Jake won.....just to add he was in the countrymaids weekly recently too cause he has won a few shows down south. Josie also is winning shows left right and center. Not only do these two win coursing and shows, but they are both very much FIRST working lurchers, ferreting, rabbiting ect. So if anyone says rescues are crap.......here's proof that they can come good in the right hands . pic of JAKE. pic of JOSIE. Josie posing OOPS......EDITED TO SAY. Both seperate owners are very proud too xx OOPS.....EDITED AGAIN TO SAY. FOR those that dont know me i run a greyhound and lurcher rescue (with the odd terrier thrown in) and these dogs was homed by me. So the hard work was put in by the people who adopted these dogs .xx Edited March 16, 2007 by Lurcherbitch Quote Link to post

Irish Lurcher 1,013
Great news, well done to you on this brilliant acheiment, most people would be circumspect when taking on such dogs; you have proved beyond any form of doubt that a rescue can make the grade. Really don’t understand why some quarters would think a rescue is any different from any other dog. To me a rescue would want to prove his worth, and this is a perfect example. You can hear the pride in your post, well done pal. Quote Link to post

jacob 28
well done ,that shows what some hard work can do,a mate of mine got a dog from celia cross, lurcher and greyhound rescue, two years ago, and hes turned out to be very useful,we think hes a bull greyhound deerhound greyhound a more layed back dog you couldnt ask for, but when he switches on, not much gets away. bill88 6
Good stuff.Me brother had to go and get one of his terrier's back from the local kennel's after she dissappeared a few years ago.He seen a whippet lurcher when he was there, and ended up bringing her home.Never bothered with show's or racing, but she ended up a great lamping dog.
