South hams hunter 8,921
Put dog on lead then.? Wouldn't of took you 20mins of your dog playing with it to make you realise you couldn't catch it.. Point is shouldn't of been playing with a wild injured animal in the first place....... And just to say shh iv no problem with you mate. But your digging a deeper hole here for yourself I know that tiny just being truthful, its her fecking dog and it wouldn't come back. It probably wasn't 20 minutes but felt like it to me being a fat f****r trying to catch it Quote Link to post

pernod 466
At times roe can be very stupid. Only last week i almost bumped into 3 of them on a narrow country road. Two of them bolted in front of my car then away over a hedge. The remaining one had numerous attempts to squeeze through a wooden fence. I watched it eventualy find a gap big enough to get through. It could easily have jumped the fence at any point. A fat lab could have caught it.... pernod Edited May 10, 2014 by pernod Quote Link to post
RossM 8,119
Just last week my mate was walking his dogs, down a farm lane, 50 yards or so ahead, there was young lads throwing stones at the rabbits in the bushes, he thought he better get dogs on lead when a lad flings a rock in the bush and a roe bolts out the bush across the path, he hoped it was going to double back into the rough but it was on a kamikaze mission and decided the best bet was across the field to the small wood at the far end. Not only are they thick but they are f***ing everywhere. 1 Quote Link to post

Con6212 155
Pre ban, when I was 10 or younger, deer were my favourite quarry to run. I had a little 22" bitch that dropped chinks, muntys, roe and even fallow. Quote Link to post
