WHITE RUSSELL 39
i didnt believe in culling but in some cases i think it needs to be done. i bought i jrt which i was told she was chris hicks breeding i think shes about 14 or 15 month old now. After a couple off days after i fetched her i realised she wasnt responding to any noises so got her checked out and she was deaf so i rang the bloke i got her off and explained it to him and he said he had no idea and offered me my money back but my old man said no we'll keep her. shes turned out a decent bushing dog with a very good nose on her shame about her deafness but shes a good addition to our bushing pack now an im glad we stuck with her and gave her a chance or she would probaly have bin culled if i took her back. fieldsman 51
i couldnt cull any dog,i think your a bunch of cruel fuckers even debating this, so is it safe to say that selling the whole litter to anyone that happens along is a good idea .... and what about the stress on the brood bitch that is nursing a full litter .... here's another spin on it for you .... when dogs were wild living what percentage of a litter of say 10 pups would survive to say 1 month old i reckon about 4 ??? whats your view plutto Wild dogs are very successful when it comes to % of pups and survival rates . fieldsman 51
Any one that runs a dog on rabbits to the point it stops is someone who knows very little of their dog,s and even less about dogs in general .I think it,s a fair assumption that the better dog men of this world are more successful and have less failure in their dogs than the rest.Anyone running a dog to a stand still is at best a prat they would be better off buying a gun.Is it just luck that some always have dogs that perform well in the field ,never bite, fight, jack or run off and just bad luck that some seem to get dog after dog that has one problem or other.I am all for pushing dogs to get the best from them but to push them to the point of failure is a reflection of the lack of understanding from the moron at the other end of the lead. 4 Quote Link to post
