what antibiotics do you all use and what would you say was best??

Oxytetracycline (big yellows). a wide ranging anti biotic that seems to do the trick for bite infections...atb stabba

Do you people change the anti-biotic? I was told the body can become immune, is that true?

It does good to alternate the antibiotics used , reduces the risk of certain bacteria building up a resistance to certain ingredients.

Normally use 250mg for terriers size dogs, 500mg for lurchers sized dogs, give or take.Hope it helps

Nothing wrong with penicillin Rock, shit hot stuff, but if you alternate that with different sorts of antibiotics, it stays as effective as it was the first time you used it mate, as do the others.

only say that as alot of the terrier lads use it round my way and i tend 2 get a jab now and again

I think at one time mate, penicillin was about the only thing you could get your hands on, it was round here anyway, but there is better stuff available now, if you know where to get it, but generally speaking, I dont think you'll go far wrong with penicillin mate.

same here , i give 2 tabs a day for bites+cuts, and in 24 hours they start to work, and 36 hours Brill , i always get jar from my vet he knows i go ratting
